- Introducing Aura releases, replacing individual Aura application releases.

- Optimisations and performance enhancements
Following the releases of Verify and Consult in 2017, Comrad is excited to announce the release of Aura v1.3, our first packaged Aura release. Aura v1.3 introduces our newest application, Transcribe. Transcribe is a secure web based transcription application that replaces the Typist Editor in COMRAD 2. It offers a clean, uncluttered and consistent user interface to empower typists to work more conveniently and to transcribe reports faster.
As part of our continuous effort to enhance the radiology patient experience, and to shift from delivering individual Aura application updates to delivering customer value, Comrad Medical Systems is introducing a packaged Aura release methodology. The new Aura packaged releases will bring new features to existing applications, introduce new applications, provide ongoing security improvements and bug fixes and other enhancements to the Aura platform that will be announced progressively. Aura v1.3 also brings improvements to security, performance and deployment.
Harnessing the power of web and mobile technologies, Aura Transcribe helps your practice to deliver diagnostic reports faster by allowing your typists to work when and where it suits their schedule. This is all done via a desktop web browser over the internet without the need for VPN connection. Transcribe also allows after-hours remote access or access from clinical facilities that are external to their normal place of work.
Equipped with easy to use tools and a full featured editor, Transcribe is expected to increase the efficiency of typists significantly. Aura Transcribe users can switch between five worklists in total allowing a complete view of reports requiring action or reports that have been previously completed. Aside from the main Dictated worklist, the typist has access to worklists for each of: Preliminary reports, On-hold reports, Examinations Completed (reports that are reported outside of COMRAD and Aura can be picked up from here for transcription) and a History of all reports which they have completed in the last 24 hours.
Aura v1.3 also introduces device integration capabilities to allow Aura to connect seamlessly with desktop hardware devices. For Aura Transcribe, we provide support for the Philips foot pedal adding more convenience to Typists to transcribe with ease.
