Patient portal registrations more than double

Health Minister Jonathan Coleman says the number of people signing up for a patient portal at their general practice has more than doubled over the last year. “Patient portals are convenient, secure and real time savers for both patients and general practice staff,” says Dr Coleman. “Portals enable patients to access their personal health information whenever they need it. Updated Pacific disability plan welcomed

$6.5m to increase adults cochlear implants

Health Minister Jonathan Coleman says $6.5 million will be invested into the adult cochlear implants programme to increase access. “For those with profound hearing loss cochlear implants can be a life changing procedure,” says Dr Coleman. “Access to funded cochlear implants have increased significantly under this Government.
