Collaborate 2 Innovate Project Idea Evaluation Criteria

C2I Project Ideas will be evaluated against a number of criteria, these are:



Alignment with strategy

·          Which HISNZ Action Zones does your idea support and progress?

·          Which other national or regional health strategies is your idea aligned to?

 

Alignment to Standards

·          Which standards does the solution align to? (HISO or other national and international standards).

·          How does the solution propose to interoperate with other health care applications?

·          Is the architecture open or proprietary?

 

Degree of Innovation

·          Are similar solutions currently in use in New Zealand or elsewhere in the world?

·          If so what differentiates this solution from them?

·          How much of the solution will utilise existing solution components and how much has to be newly developed?

 

Project Team Composition

·          Have you identified a health provider organisation interested in using the solution?

·          What capabilities would you provide to the project team?

·          What capabilities are you looking for in project team members?

·          Have you identified any potential project team members?

 

Solution scalability and repeatability

·          To what extent is the solution applicable in other settings, either repeatable within New Zealand or internationally?

·          To what extent is the solution applicable to other healthcare sectors? For example, can it be applied to other kinds of data, other business processes or other parts of the healthcare continuum?

 

Project Funding

·          Have potential funders for the project been identified?

·          Do the identified project team members have the capability to invest their resources into their project idea?

 

Overall viability

·          Does the Project Idea reuse existing technologies or rely in research and development of new technologies?

·          Do the identified project team have a track record in delivery of this type of solution?

·          Is there an identified customer site willing to implement the solution if it is developed?
