At the IPAC Leaders’ Summit in August 09 we identified (and prioritised) the development of relationships with our hospital based colleagues as a critical enabler in our progress towards integrated care and health care networks.

 Since that time IPAC has been developing relationships with a number of professional groups including the Association of Salaried Medical Specialists (ASMS).  ASMS membership includes the majority of hospital based specialists, dentists and a number of salaried GPs.  In meeting with the ASMS executive we found (as always!) there is much more than unites us than divides us around the development and implementation of integrated care.

The EOI process and current business case development makes it very timely for IPAC and ASMS to form a strategic relationship and move forward together into the emerging health care environment.
