PRESS RELEASE: IPAC and GPNA Transition to General Practice NZ
Posted: 22 February 2010

It is with great pleasure that IPAC and the GPNZ announce they are trading as General Practice New Zealand as of today (Monday 22 February) as a transitional arrangement under their current governance and management structure.  They expect to have definitive governance, management and business charter in place by 01 July 2010.

Attached  here is an overview and key messages document which outlines their rationale and direction of travel.

Last week General Practice NZ co-located with the Royal NZ College of GPs on Level 3, 88 The Terrace.  This provides an opportunity to work collaboratively and effectively with a complementary organisation.

Contact numbers and postal address will remain the same.  Email addresses will now use the format  firstname.surname@gpnz.org.nz.

QUOTE OF THE DAY

It’s difficult to say exactly why or one single thing about New Zealand but to me New Zealand is like drinking from a spring in terms of the freshness that’s there, I’m so impressed with the students and the university I believe there’s enormous potential.

Professor Tom Furness, HIT LabNZ, University of Washington, 2002
