IBA continues to expand its presence in New Zealand in both the private and public sectors recently winning a licence and services agreement with Southern Cross, New Zealand's largest national private surgical hospital group for its Web PAS product valued in excess of $1.6 million and several new Pharmacy sales. This has brought the number of New Zealand DHBs using IBA's systems to over 70%. IBA has also developed solutions in New Zealand for Colposcopy and Endoscopy.
We also advise that Brian Vass has been appointed as the General Manager for IBA Health New Zealand. He replaces James Rice who has been promoted to Sales and Marketing Director based in Sydney. Brian's experience as CEO of Terranova Pacific Services who were acquired by IBA in February 2005 and previously as Head of Information Services at Healthcare Hawke's Bay where he managed Medical Records and Information Services will help him in this exciting opportunity with IBA as they continue to grow the New Zealand marketplace. Brian has a Master of Science degree from the London School of Economics and an honours degree in Business Studies.
Brian commented on his new appointment "I am thrilled by the opportunity and challenge presented by managing IBA's growing presence in New Zealand. James has done an excellent job developing IBA to its current market leading position and I hope to continue this growth." On James' promotion he commented, "It is nice to see some of our IP being exported across the Tasman. I'm sure our customers will join me in wishing him every success in his new position."
James leaves with mixed emotions about relocating to Sydney and would like to express his gratitude to all our customers and people he has worked with and grown to know over the last eight years in the New Zealand health sector. He feels that he has benefited from an enormous amount of experience and support during this tenure and is looking forward to using the skills he has developed in his new role. He will continue to visit customers in his new role as Sales and Marketing Director. |
