The eHealth Collaboratory (www.ehealthcollaboratory.ca) is establishing an independent, Canadian assessment service in the areas of standards-based interoperability and usability of health information systems, including a pan-Canadian conformance testing environment.
The Collaboratory is issuing a Request for Information as part of an industry analysis of the current state of conformance initiatives, tools and services related to the interoperability of information systems. This will help them to identify opportunities for collaboration with other organisations and existing testing toolsets, products and expertise that may be utilised for development and delivery of services to support the requirement for pan-Canadian conformance testing.
Vendors are invited to provide information about their products, services and expertise in the area of standards-based conformance testing.
The following types of vendors should respond to this RFI:
- Vendors with software testing tools
- Vendors with testing tools specific to healthcare standards including HL7, DICOM, IHE, SNOMED CT, LOINC, ICD-10-CA, CCI and other terminologies
- Vendors who have software that may be suitable for adaptation to testing such as integration brokers or terminology services
- Services firms that offer testing services
- Services firms that can adapt existing tools for testing or develop tools for testing
Although the focus of this RFI is on the exchange of health information, they would also like to know about other sectors such as financial, business and others doing standards-based conformance testing.
