Collaborative Project Update
Two of the Cluster's collaborative projects have recently achieved significant milestones. We would like to acknowledge the contributions from the project team members without whose efforts undertaking these projects would not be possible.
Consumer Heath Portal.
The Project has now completed the second iteration of the Proof of Concept; this has been demonstrated to our funders: Ministry of Health, Foundation for Research Science and Technology and Microsoft. Following the demonstrations, the Cluster has had several meetings with the MOH about the subsequent development of the Consumer Health Portal.
E-Labs Order and Results Project.
The project team has completed the E-Labs proposal and this has been submitted to the project sponsors namely the Ministry of Health and Lakes DHB. This proposal represents an excellent example of sector collaboration and the innovation that this approach can deliver. We have received positive feedback on the proposal document and are optimistic that funding will be forthcoming. The proposal document is available from the Cluster website. Here
September Business Development Forum 'Software as a Service'.
The second forum series of the year will be on Software as a Service. This topic has received a lot of interest, and numerous requests for speaking opportunities.
The Forums will be held in Auckland and Wellington.

NZ Health IT Cluster Membership Survey
At the beginning of August we sent out a membership survey for Cluster members. The survey will give us a better picture of the industry and your needs. We have received some responses and have begun our preliminary analysis. We hope that all our members will participate.

NZ Health IT Cluster Membership Fees
Yes its that time of year again! Our invoice for the membership year 1st of September 08 - 31st August 09 will be sent to you shortly. If your membership fee band or your contact details has changed please let us know.
Japan Health Technology Market Forum
A number of cluster members with an interest in the Japan market attended this forum and participated in the interactive discussions. We look to continue to grow interest in this exciting market.

The NZ Health IT Cluster AGM is held on 27 November 2008 in Auckland. This event is open to all Cluster members to attend.
