The New Zealand Health IT Cluster is an industry grouping of New Zealand-based software and solution developers, consultants, health policy makers, health funders, infrastructure companies, healthcare providers and academic institutions.
The purpose of the Bulletin is to summarise news and information which either involves, or is of interest to, the New Zealand Health IT Cluster.


New Zealand Health Sector Engagement Forum and Cluster AGM

The NZ Health Sector Engagement Forum and AGM will be held in Auckland on the 27 November 2008. If you are planning to attend, and have not already done so, please RSVP to Renu Borst at r.borst@healthit.org.nz.

NZ Health Sector Engagement Forum

The New Zealand Health Sector Engagement Forum includes an impressive line-up of speakers who will outline the strategic direction and supporting programmes for the NZ health sector. A flyer detailing the forum and the AGM event can be found here. This event is open to all interested parties with non-members required to pay a small fee.

 

Cluster AGM & Networking Drinks

The Cluster AGM will follow the NZ Health Sector Engagement Forum and will include a brief presentation on Cluster achievements over the past year, and the presentation of the audited Financial Statements. An election for the 08/09 Cluster Executive will then follow.

Following the AGM, the day will conclude over a glass of wine and a catch-up with your colleagues. We hope to see many of our members at the NZ Health Sector Engagement Forum, and of course our AGM.

 

 

Collaborate 2 Innovate

The Cluster and the Ministry of Health are pleased to announce the Collaborate 2 Innovate initiative. There is still time for you to enter the project idea competition. The flyer outlining the project idea initiative can be found here.

  

Successful project ideas will be announced at the Cluster AGM, Auckland, 27 November 2008. The Cluster will then work with the selected project teams to develop the ideas into a collaborative project concept briefs.

 

We have received some exciting project ideas so far, and we would welcome further project ideas. If you have identified an integrated healthcare solution you would like to develop, please send us your completed project idea template by 20/11/08.

HIMSS AsiaPac09

HIMSS AsiaPac09 takes place from the 24th - 27th of February 2009 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Malaysia.

 

HIMSS AsiaPac09 conference and exhibition will bring together thought leaders and key stakeholders in healthcare and technology throughout the Asia Pacific region. HIMSS AisaPac08 was attended by over 1400 healthcare leaders from 28 countries, making it a not-to-be-missed event that helps to advance quality healthcare delivery through the use of IT.

 

The Cluster has been invited to present on the Consumer Health Portal project at this conference and we would welcome your support.
