Navigating your way through the contract process, what to watch out for and achieving positive outcomes for you and the funder
This will be an interactive 4-hour session that will focus on the more common issues when it comes to contracting in the digital health space, the problematic terms contained in contracts, the risks to be aware of, potential compromises, negotiation processes to consider and protecting your intellectual property.
It is being facilitated by Simon Martin (one of NZ's top lawyers in this field). It is an opportunity to work with him and other participants on this highly topical matter that affects all businesses and organisations (private & public) operating in this country's health and disabilities sector.
Simon is in high demand for his legal services and, at $199 (for NZHIT members), this workshop provides you with an extremely cost efficient and highly effective way to work with him in a group setting on this topic. At less than $50/hour you will be hard pressed to obtain this level of legal expertise anywhere else!
A recent survey of NZHIT members highlighted the growing concerns in the sector and for NZHIT to provide support to improve understanding of the processes and how to deal with the issues being experienced. This workshop has been especially developed in response to these concerns.
You'll be provided with the opportunity to table sample clauses or issues you're encountering (and wish to share) to provide real-life examples for discussion and interaction amongst the group and with Simon.
