Eric Peck, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and co-founder of Swoop Aero affirmed:

“We are proud to accept the award for Product Innovation of Year by the Australian Business Awards. The award recognizes Swoop Aero’s achievements in the research and development of the Swoop Aero proprietary drone. Our logistics infrastructure has been trusted by some of the largest players in the global health sector, including UNICEF, the Gates Foundation, Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, USAID and UKAID. Our company is rapidly scaling as we are on track of reaching 100 million people with sustainable drone logistics by 2025”.Eric Peck, Chief Executive Officer of Swoop Aero

The Swoop Aero logistics platform makes access to the skies seamless through the deployment of a fleet of autonomous aircraft. The drones can each carry 3 kilograms of cargo, which means ‘on-demand’ supplies  are delivered with speed, precision and care to the intended recipient, strengthening the health supply chain and increasing the provision and availability of essential supplies and thus, dramatically improving the health outcomes of the communities they operate in.

Swoop Aero has the world’s leading air logistics platform, and recently rolled out the world’s largest medical drone delivery network in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Operating in a remote archipelago setting is the company’s bread and butter, as their first operations were rolled out in the Pacific island nation of Vanuatu in 2018, and they have since worked across the emerging and developing world from Malawi to Australia.

ABA recognises organisations such as Swoop Aero that demonstrate the core values of business innovation, product innovation, technological achievement and employee engagement. “Each year the ABA100 Winners are recognised for the successful development of new and improved products and services and for implementing business processes that improve efficiency and performance,” said Ms Tara Johnston, Program Director of the Australian Business Awards.

Ms Tara Johnston, Program Director of the Australian Business Awards said;

“A culture of continuous improvement consists of incremental initiatives and innovations to achieve best practices. An innovative working approach also appeals to employees with higher levels of creativity and lateral thinking, helping organisations to hold on to their best talent, ”Ms Tara Johnston, Program Director of the Australian Business Awards
